MNA - Iran defeated The Netherlands in the Group C match of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup on Saturday. Iran beat the European team 1-0 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu. Milad Gharibi scored Iran’s sole goal in the 25th minute.

AFC - CALABAR: Iran went to the top of Group C in the FIFA U17 World Cup in Nigeria after a rain-interrupted 0-0 draw against Colombia on Wednesday. Despite a dazzling display from Colombian winger Stiveen Mendoza, the Iranians managed to hang on for a draw to follow up a 2-0 victory over Gambia in their first match.

Esteghlal coach vows to fight on despite another defeat
AFC - TEHRAN: Esteghlal failed to dislodge Sepahan from the top of the Iran Pro League after losing 1-0 to Zob Ahan in the 14th round. Mohammad Reza Khalatbari’s 23rd-minute strike was enough to give Zob Ahan victory, leaving Esteghlal coach Samad Marfavi seething.
