In the qualifying, Iran and Tajikstan drew 0-0. This is not good. I expected Iran to win with a good margin. It is another sign that our football is regressing rapidly and is in free fall.

In group B Iran beat Nepal 3-0 and today they will play Lebanon.

Iran are second in the group with 4 points, 3 behind Tajikistan but with a game in hand. If they beat Lebanon with more than a 2 goal difference, they will go top of their group.

Iran overcame Lebanon 4-0 with all goals coming in the second half. So they must have changed their approach. It sounds promising.

Iran are now top of the table ahead of Tajikistan on goal difference. They have another 2 more games to go.

Iran ranked first in its group because it had less yellow cards (everything being equal), they used yellow cards. Cheesy
