Bahrain are out. They were beaten by New Zealand 1-0 after drawing 0-0 in Manama.

New Zealand qualify for the second time in their history.

Fantastic outcome, I had hoped that KSA would lose to Bahrain and then Bahrian would lose to New Zealand, but I never thought this would happen, I am overjoyed by this outcome, Bahrain did the dirty onj Iran in WC2002 qualifiers, they have now got a tsate of their own medicion twice in WC2006 and WC2010 play-offs, so Bahraini dude, how does it feel to go out of the word cup in the play-offs?

I have no problem with Bahrain. I would have liked it if they qualified because then Asia would have another team at the world cup.

We should stop blaming Bahrain for our own failures. Thread and my views in the last post

I agree that we should not blame Bahrain for our failure to go to WC2002, but waving Saudi flags in that match and all the dirty business they did including locking Iranian fans out of the stadium, and making sure our players couldn't sleep at nights by arranging for disturbance outside our player's hotel every night canno be overlooked either

as much as I hate them....I mean...HATE them or any PERSIAN gulf team....unless they call it PERSIAN GULF Wink
but,,,,I wanted to see them going to WC 2010
I think that's not fair to us having Australia playing with Asian teams...that sucks
they shall play with iseland, newZ and so on...

In any case....I am also glad that we are not in S.Africa....man it is too hot to go and watch Iran..loooool

Considering that Iran ended up 4th in their group they would not have qualified for WC2010 even if Australia was not in AFC, let us face it, AFC got an extra 1/2 place because Australia joint AFC, otherwise we would have had 4 places in the WC not 4.5, Iran didn't even make it to the play-offs this time, this was a real poor show by Iran, the only team that failed to beat UAE twice to take all 6 points!
