Very good result away from home for Esteghlal. Farhad Majidi scored twice to give Esteghlal victory against Al Ahli. They won 2-1, but Ahli missed a penalty when EsEs were leading 0-1. Soon after Majidi scored EsEs's second goal in the 76th minute only for AlRaheb to score Ahli's only goal four minutes from the end.

What a load of rubbish. Esteghlal is playing at home and should have won this game. Mes beats UAE champions and is near bottom of IPL while Esteghlal cannot win Al Jazira.

This was 2 points lost instead of a point gained. They have to do much better if they want to progress.

Yes, a good win for Esteghlal.  Let us not celebrate yet.  Last year, Perspolis won them 3 - 1 in Tehran and last 5 - 0 in Doha. Huh?

A good result and comeback by Esteghlal. They came back from a goal down to draw the game 1-1 with a goal by seyedsalehi in the 58th minute after Al Garrafa had taken a lead in the dying seconds on the first half.

Esteghlal remain top of their group for the moment. They have two more games to play and hopefully will qualify to the next round

Excellent start by ESES. Sye Salehi scored in the 26th minute and in the 31st minute Ahmed Mubarak from Al Ahli was shown a yellow card.

Amir Hossein Sadeghi scored in the 45th minute but Simoes had equalised with a penalty before Sadeghi's goal.

It is now 2-1 to ESES.
