The Olympic games are only a few weeks away and Iran have a chance of a few gold medals. Rezazadeh is one obvious choice, but which other Iranian athletes also stand a chance? I know one of our lady athletes once won a medal in shooting, but we should have some martial arts sportsmen also that could win us medals.

Can anyone name any of these athletes?

usually except Rezaii I can imagine that some wrestlers or some Tae Kwon Do people could win some medals...

my guess is

Iran will make 2 gold(weightlifting + Tae Kwon Do) , 2 silver(wrestling) and 3 Bronze (wrestling and Tae Kwon Do)...any more medals than this would be a really great result

I hope we won't be drawn against Israelis, time and again our sportsmen have come across Israelis and have had to refuse to take part under IRI policy and have been disqualified, Iranians should play Israelis and beat them rather than get eliminated for refusing to play against them.

Very good point. Why should the fascist IRI force people not to compete against Israel? They were at one time one of best friends in the region and what do I care about Palestinians. Are they not the same people who supported Saddam in his invasion of Iran? Are they not the same people who throw bombs at children's schools and hospitals.

I would compete with and consider Israel my friend as opposed to an Arabparast in power in Iran.

Shame on any Iranian that supports this fascist policy of fascist IRI

calling Israel our friend is naive..I agree that IRI isn't a great government...but most of problems we have in the region including IRI is the result of US/Israel policy of the past decades......Israel and USA are doing every thing to weaken stonger countries in the region like Iran or egypt or Turkey in middle east......Israeli and US inteligent services often supported kurdish separatist movement to use them against powerfull nations in the region..... remember one reason most arab nations having stupid politicians like Sadam or all the oil sheicks is cuz of US and British colonial policy....and Israel is a key in that colonial imperial policiy...

what middle east in long therm needs are democratic governments which would together represent their population and build an united front against USA/ISRAEL/England
