Out of the whole IPL, there are only two clubs that have all Iranian teams, viz: Saipa and Steel Azin. The rest all have atleast one foreign player, most of which are from Brazil.

I suppose third rate Brazilian players come to Iran with the second rate ones going to the likes of lower quality European clubs and other Asian ones like Korea, China etc.

I wonder whether these players are cheaper than Iranian ones or they are better. If they are better, do they raise the standard of play or not?

Although I am by no means against foreign players, I wonder how many of them are better than Iranian players as such or is it a prestige thing to have foreign players.

Any thoughts?
