We beat China, on their turf
We beat S.Korea, on their turf...this one is after 39 years Wink
We do play solid...we do see a system in play....by that I mean, we do not kick and go, we play as a team.
I think one of the most important part of this has something to do with the DUTCH coaches with Qotbi. I think they play a big role here.
The other issue here, believe it or not, we do not have any of our players in UAE Shocked
We lost a lot of great talent to arabs due to MONEY....our best players moved there to make more money and lost their edge...all of them. Look at Maziyar Zare....he was there not even one year, he lost his skill and ability....he is just getting back to be the old zare....
Kazemieyan....man that kid was great, look at him now??
I saw him against SS and man, he lost so many things.
In any case, now that our players are in Iran and Spain ( 2), we are in better shape. I think UAE will realize how they helped our national team when we beat the sh....it out of them in few months Wink
mark my words...we will beat them and beat them good.
I just hope those who are not playing any longer for Team Melli, keep their mouth shut....i.e. KAABI
Kaabi was and is the biggest p..ie and not coachable....
I followed him from the time he played for U19 team under Hamid Derakhshan.....even then he ha problem with coaches...
first of all.....he has cheated with his Birth certificate....he does not look like U30....he is more like 35-37 years old....you can see it in his playing these days....In any case....he is out and he kept talking about team melli....you burned yourself buddy and not anyone else...
You need to learn that a coach, regardless good or bad, is a coach....is your BOSS...and you need to listen to him.
After all of his talk about Qotbi, and the fine he had to pay, he did not learn his lesson...
Mr.Kaebi....what have you done in your team?
are you really better than Heydari?
name one player in team melli that you are better than him? just one player in any position...and I give you the right to interview about team melli....just 1 player Wink
enough of him....what do you guys think?

I know that even here in USA, everyone is bashing Qotbi....even the fat boy at LIVE CHANNEl who has no idea about soccer....I think the only ball he has ever touched was his balls Wink yet he discuss soccer... I bet that hid dady knew people in TV and got him a job....now he becomes the expert....
other jokers are just like him...
In Iran, we have the same story....Khieyabani had just plan to bash him and nothing else in his program... I forgot the name of it...but you know what I am talking about...
I am not a Qotbi lover, I know he had made his mistakes too....but we need to give credit, when we see something good.
I think his management style has changed...
he is tougher now...he does go back and talk to players or bench them, when they say something wrong. Like what he did with Masoud Shojaie...
In any case....I think we could be hopefull for this team
we could get a good result
I don't need to remind you....all aisan teams have improved and we are getting there...
what do u think?

Afshin jan, it was their first team with their Euro based players.

It was a lucky win. A mistake by the defender who lost the ball. They were unlucky not to score a couple of goals although Iran too had their chances.

Are we getting better or are they getting worse? Six of one and half dozen of the other.

To be an Iranian is a wonderful thing.

Culturally we have problems, for example, Azziz and Karimi could have been the best World players, but rather than focusing on their teams, they caused frictions.

I am happy with Iran's win against South Korea.  I will take any day a win over any teams, especially those in the Persian Gulf region.

We have talents, if players improve their fitness, their teams will win more games.  Once I was at Hotel Azadi.  Perspolis was going to play Esteghlal.  Two things surprised me: A Molla being in the dinner gathering and players eating cholo kabob.  Cholo or Polo should be banned.

Even if you want to do your work, avoid polo for lunch. Grin

persian jan..we have not, or better to say, our coaches have not learned to work on food and nutrition with our players...they do not have anyone knowledgeable about how to eat, what to eat, time of eating and so on...
I remember when I played in college, we were told what o eat, when and so on
all we need is to hire one person to do it??

BWTB jan...you are still stuck to BRANKO buddy Wink forget it, he is gone and just so you know, he sucks in his club and soon will be fired....just like he lost his other job as well, recently...
we r doing better...either is from qotbi or his Dutch assistants, god knows...
I won't be against having dutch coaches and follow that style. all the teams in asia found their style, except us...
KSA is using brazilian coaches...S.Korea used dutch coaches , established a way and now moving on...
Japan used also brazilian style and now moving on,,,
we are like a wh,,,e few years south american, then few years...sonnati Iranian...then the ICH's...from Croatia and now dutch...remember, qotbi worked with most of dutch coaches..
