Sepahan Novin promoted to PGL

PTV - Sepahan Novin has managed to advance to the Persian Gulf League (PGL) after defeating Steel Azin Tehran in the Azadegan League. Sepahan Novin beat Steel Azin 2-1 at Dastgerdi Stadium in Tehran on Thursday evening.

Steel Azin's Mohammad Parvin scored the only goal for his team 71 minutes into the match but Mostafa Shojaei scored the equalizer six minutes later, before Qader Afkari scored the winning goal with just five minutes left to the match.

Steel Azin's head coach, Farhad Kazemi, said the team had a good program early on to advance to the IPL but that they lost their chance after substitutes failed to play well.

The two teams made a goalless draw in the first leg of the match at the Foulad Shahr Stadium in Isfahan last week.
