2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China will have Iran in football in Group B.  Let us use this thread to discuss football, BUT we need a thread for ALL the games.

2010 Asian Games: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guangzhou_Asian_Games

Iran is in group B: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_at_the_2010_Asian_Games
Iran has taken 3 goal keepers, Khalilazad is huge:
Height: 198!
Weight: 90
Age: Only 20
Rahamti is the shortest goal keeper? Grin  We should let other goal keepers gain experience. Undecided

Nov. 8, 2010
Iran will play Turkmenistan in less than 7 hours.  Local china time 19 pm.

Interesting statistics: Iran has won Asian games gold medal four times: Iran has already won the title in 1974, 1990, 1998 and 2002.

Broadcasting is terrible.
Min. 27:
Iran U23 - Turkmenistan U23 1-0
Goal by Jalal Housani, cross by Ansarifard.
Two other goal chances that Iran missed one by Ansarifard and another by Afshin.
Iran is in control. Smiley

Lets hope our Omid team does well and gives us some hope for the future, similar to Branko's Busan team

Wednesday November 10, 2010Iran - Bahrain
Iran with more goal chances.  After missing four goal chances, Ansarifard scores a goal on a good cross from Golamreza Rezai.
Iran 1 in min 45+1
When game finished in first half, a Bahrain player received a second yellow, therefore, red. Cheesy
Coverage of the games is poor. Tongue

Who cares how Iran played as long as they kicked (ordangied) the sooskmar khors back to their pitiful little island  Grin

We now have 6 points from 2 games and have qualified for the second stage  Grin

Good win and tabrik or as the Russians say, pazdravleniyo  Grin

Iran ranked in its group with 9 points.  It is playing Malaysia in 1/8 group.  Malaysia was the third in its group.  Iran has had many chances but no goal.  Rezai is playing because he has two yellow cards.
First half: 0 - 0
