To be an Iranian is a wonderful thing.

Let us post the people who will be considered for Team Melli coaching job after Qotebi is gone end of January 2011.

Goal.com --> Branko Ivankovic: I'm ready to coach Iran again!
I do not think this is a good idea.  Branko wanted to sue IFF, now wants to return to Iran?

Swedish Stuart Baxter has been aproached for TM position by IFF.

Skysports - Sven-Goran Eriksson has rejected IFF offer.   Grin
Thank god, he has done a poor job with many National Teams.
Maradona also rejected IFF offer. Grin LOL.  Grin

I hope to get someone who will discipline our players and demonstrate to them that playing for the National Team is an honor.

Not sure why Maradona turned Iran down, he would have had access to cheap drugs, he could even have gone for long weekends in Afghanistan to get more supplies.

As for Eriksson, I too am glad he didn't accept the job, I have never been keen on him, he is too passive, his style does not suit Iranian players.

As for Branko, he did a great job for us but was stabbed in the back by just about everyone, why he would want to return to Iran is beyond me, maybe he misses the food, other than that there is nothing in Iran for Branko.  He should not return to Iran.

as long the orgnization is crappy, the government has no interesst to support the sport and the IFF is full of coruption and chaos, I don't think any good foreign coach would be amazed to come and work in IRAN
