I remember, around 1998-99, Iran was ranked 17

I am surprised at Egypt being ranked # 9   Team Melli is not in its best shape but Aremeina, Batswana , Cuba, ahead of Iran

Dear Persian, Iran was ranked 15th in the world under Branko when we qualified for WC2006 outright.  But in 1998/99 we weren't as high as 17th, I think we were 29th.

Afshin jaan;  thanks for clarification.

I remember ranking of #15 was for one time which is very short time.

Our players who are paid a lot do not play with "gherat."  IFF gets a lot of money from government.  This money should be divided among other sports.  Enough of football getting all or most of the money and TV coverage.
