Qatar lost 2-0 to Uzbekistan, Kuwait lost 2-0 to China, bad start for Arab teams in the tournament  including the hosts.

PS I think we should just post all Asian Cup discussions on this forum

Another Arab team lost today, Bahrain lost 2-1 to South Korea, South Korea should have won by a larger margin, the referee handed Bahrain a penalty that never was and red carded a south korean player in the process, very poor refereeing.

Another two Arab sides dropping points, Saudi Arabia lost 2-1 to Syria, that means Syria are the only Arab side to win a match so far but they did so by beating another Arab side.

UAE dropped points against North Korea, they drew 0-0.

Eight of the sixteen teams in Asia 2011 were arabs, seven of them are out, five went out at the group stage, two have gone out in the quarter finals, only Iraq remains and they will play in the quarter finals tomorrow.  If they lose then it would be amazing not to have an Arab team in the final four considering that half the original sixteen teams were arab.

But there is only one and only one Persia; let's hope the only Persian team Iran will win their quarter final match tomorrow and go on to win the trophy.

If Iran wins and also win the championship,
Iran will be the only team that beat every team they play against
wouldn't that be great  Wink
Good luck to our LIONS

Iraq lost today as well, that means there will be no arab team in the semi finals despite eight of the starting sixteen teams being arab, that is a poor show.
