Having beaten Iraq I am certain Iran will qualify for the quarter finals, I have no doubt Iraq will beat North Korea and UAE and qualify for the quarter finals alongside Iran, the only question is whether Iran will top the group or not, I think we will.

But either way Iran will have a tough quarter final either against Australia or South Korea, I think we are unlucky to be in Group D and have to face the either of the top two from Group C.

Teams from Group A & B seem less of a threat than South Korea or Australia.  You are looking at the likes of Qatar, Japan, Uzbekistan and Syria.  I am not saying these teams are easy, but I think what Iran is facing is tougher.

Iran had its easiest chane the last time when Mr Kalleh Gohi was in charge. Basically Iran just had to show up to lift the trophy and this 5hit head managed to screw it up. We will never get a chance like that. We will have to work very hard now.

Agreed, in 2007 we had our strongest squad ever and we had world cup experience from the previous year.  Ghalenoei screwed up big time, the title was there for the taking but Ghalenoei's madness meant we lost to South Korea Under 23 team in the quarter finals, unbelievable, that still angers me.  Branko would have won Asia 2007 had he stayed on, or should I say had IRI not forced him out.
