PTV - Iran’s national soccer team player Mojtaba Jabbari says he might soon be transferred to France to play for Marseille Football Club.

“I prefer to play for European teams. I have some offers from German teams, but I personally think the best choice for me is Marseille,” Jabbari, who also plays for Esteqlal soccer club in Tehran, told reporters on Tuesday.

“I also have some offers from teams in the UAE. I will evaluate them just in case,” he added.

The Iranian midfielder said his contract with Esteqlal has been fulfilled and that he sees no obstacle in joining a foreign team.

“If I decide to play in Iran, I will only play for my favorite club, Esteqlal,” Jabbari concluded.

According to IRINN he has flown to France to finalise the deal. I wonder how much truth there is in these news things or is it one of those viral things that does the rounds and is picked up by everyone and at the end comes to nothng but a runour.

If this is true, it's great great great news for him, he's such a good player, and I think Marseille would be a good start for him, I'd rather have our players go to smaller clubs and work their way up, don't forget Ronaldinho didn't start at the big clubs;)

Good move if true. Ronaldinhio played for Paris St Germain which is hardly a small club.

A move to any European league is better than a move to Arab leagues, European leagues are stronger than our own PGL also, this would be good for Team Melli needless to say, look at the progress Nekunam has made, he was already a good player and a KHAR_SHOOT but now he plays in a different league from the rest of Team Melli players, you can see it in his game, Nekunam is a class above the rest of team melli.

It was all a rumour.
