Hadi came back from 4-2 down to win 5-4. What a comeback, what a match.

Well done.

Yesssssssssssssssssss

Iran's Saei takes taekwondo gold
Iran's Hadi Saei defeated Italy's Mauro Sarmiento to take gold in the men's 80kg taekwondo after Britain's Aaron Cook missed out on a bronze medal.

Saei secured a tight 6-4 win, adding a second gold to his 68kg category title success from Athens in 2004.

Earlier, Cook had missed out on a medal after a 4-1 defeat by China's Zhu Guo.

The 17-year-old - who narrowly missed out on a place in the final - fought bravely against the home favourite, but failed make most of his attacks count.

A late two-point kick to the head of the Italian earned Hadi Saei gold. He was trailing 4-2 at one stage but a brilliant comeback earned him the GOLD.

At long last, congratulations all, very poor show by Iran this year but at least we got one gold.  Had Rezazadeh not been injured we would have got another gold.

Had Rezazadeh not been injured we would have got another gold.

Was he really injured? How is it his injury was diagnosed just before the start of the Olympics while a day earlier he had said he was going to win a gold?

Something very very fishy as with everything that happens in IRI.

Hadi could have been told to go out and win as there was such an outcry in Iran over the olympics. Its the case of give people a little noon khoshk to shut them up. Just enough to keep the anger and frustration in check otherwise it could get out of control.

These mullahs and their gorillas know exactly how to handle the situation and keep enslaving and plundering our people and country. Filthy bastards all of them including their supporters and especially apologists.
