he talks a lot , but till now I didn't see much differents between him and BUSH/McCAIN

the major question is, is he ready to do a real change or just use the word to become popular?

real change means!

a) finishing the unnecessary wars in IRAQ and Afghanistan

b)close all US military bases around the globe and bring the troops back home

c)cancel the anti missile project in east europe and also stop to provocate Russians again and again

d) real cooperation with China, Russia, etc instead of sending CIA agents to Central ASIA to create troubles for Russians and Chinese

e)ending stupid embargos on lot of nations like Cuba,IRAN, Venezuela etc and start normal relations and normal trade with them

f)start to save and cancel all expensive stupid military projects and focus on more education and improving the health care in USA

e) stop supporting dictators around the world and allow third world nations to control their own ressources...and start a new time of fair trade

f)investing in new technologies and joining international cooperations in futuristic advanced projects for enviroment or space technology or GEN technology

g) a real free trade by respecting the rights and needs of other nations.........

and lot of other unanswered questions....

let wait and see what Obama will do... but change is more than just bunch of words.........

guys,
remember that you can't just change everything over night, this is a democracy and the downside of democrocy is that no one person is going to push the country to one direction no matter how much power he has. Remember eventhough he won good in the electroal vote but he won only 52% of popular vote. That means that 48% of Americans didn't vote for him. So when it comes to radical changes they won't support him so it wont be busy.

Here are the things I think he can do in the first year

1. Focus on Afghanistan and Alqaeda and Islamic radicalism and terrorism ( I think this will be his top prioirity. Bush put it off by distracting everyone  and going to Iraq).
2. Put a time table on withdraw from Iraq and save money spent there
3. HE WILL RAISE TAXES! I don't know if he will stand up to his word by raising taxes only on people who make more than 1/4 million a year but there will be some sort of tax increase.
4. He will invest in alternative energy. You may not see a breakthrough during his administration but he will put money and effort into it.
5. I also think the social programs such as health care and workers right that were ignored during Bush era will be brought up.
6. Defiantly improvement in education system and other domestic issues.

Don't think if radical changes during Obama, he can't and won't do it. He is not anti establishment, he is not like Ron Paul or republicans or Denis Kusinich of democrats. But he is much better than bush and he has given hopes to many minitories such as myself to feel below.

Obama can't be any worse than Bush, that fool set the world alight with his trigger happy policies. Hopefully Iran and USA will now establish diplomatic relations while Obama is in power, this is probably Iran's best chance to come out of isolation without having to become a puppet

as me and lot of others here mentioned this again and again Obama isn't a changer...
I mean look just at few examples from his cabinet:

Hillary Clinton a big freind of Israel

Robert GATES: 26 years career by CIA and defence secretary under GEORGE BUSH jr

well if someone call this change, than that person is really naive

The change he said was change on how to do things differently and was not change on idealogy. US will remain the single superpower in the world and will push her agenda, but this time differently. Less unilaterally and more through aliance. Also change on many domestic issue that people cared about including myself such as healthcare and economy.

btw no one believed Obama was gonna be any different to regarding Israel than other presidents in fact many knew he was strongly pro Israel. And to be honest with you I am so over Israel Palestinian issue, defiantly not why I voted for him.

The problem is that Bush screwed this country so badly that anything different could be considered as change.

the major problem is that US SYSTEM is close to a collapse...america must be ready to do radical and painfull changes else they would face same destiny as soviet union....Obama is just continuing the same politics just ba trying to look a little nicer.... but a country which soon will have over a billion deficit and is about to lose its global influence doesn't have the luxury to make same mistakes again...
people like Gates and Clinton will just make USA go down faster.....don't believe me?....just wait and see
during election there were candidates like Ron Paul or Nader which really mentioned the real problems, but the US media didn't give them much chances to get much public attention....this will backfire...cuz only radical changes of US foreign politics would give america a chance to stabilize ....but continuing the old imperial politics will like giving a last poison injection to a close to dead body....

US will remain the single superpower in the world and will push her agenda, but this time differently.

US is NOT the single super power. Russia and China are super powers too but don't go around trying to push their agenda down people's throats in the same belligerant ways that America does.

Mark my words, we will be having a war soon (in a few years) and by God America is going to suffer. The ones you have to worry are those that go quietly about their business and then spring a surprise. Russia and China are not making any belligerant noises like the Americans but if anyone threatens them in the slightest, they will hit back hard and fast and we have already seen this happen.

The US is nothing but talk like a big bully that it is. They kick people and as soon as someone stands up to them they cry like a child. They cannot even quash a bunch of tribesmen, let alone rule the world.

When I say war, its because according to the failed established capitalist/enslavement economic principles and cycle, the only thing that rescues the economy is a war. WWII was a prime example and so was the South Atlantic conflict during Thatcher's early rule. She created the situation that war with Argentina would ensue, the same as mr pubic Bush and his advisors did. The same as the Islamist in Iran kept on prolonging the war against Iraq. Because their economy was in tatters. Yet we have an IRI apologist and zir pardeh kaar kon who is advocating IRI policies and economy.

Mark my words.

America has already suffered a lot in the last decade thanks to their arrogant foreign policy, China in particular will challenge the US both economically and militarily and this will happen sooner rather than later, we are only ten or twilve years away from China overtaking the US economically, militarily they are already capable of standing up to the US.  NATO will face a challenge from China, Russia, India, Iran and some former soviet republics

US is not failing only because of FP Afshin jaan but also domestic system they have in place here is so consumer driven that it heavily relies on China to parts and goods that are cheaper...so in other word US is making China a super power to stand up to her.

Some of US biggest corporations such as Walmart and many software firms rely on countries such as China and India to bring them solutions.

The only thing is holding these two countries back from being a greater power is the fact they are overpopulated and there are so much poverty but we all know that usually doesn't hold back superpowers!
