Iran's next game is next week, Wednesday 28th January in Bangkok against Thailand. It is good to see Nekounam and Shojaee in good form.

Post your starting linup here.

Iran drew 0-0 with Thailand in Bangkok while Singapore beat Jordan 2-1. The result leaves Iran at the top of the table with 4 points, then Singapore with 3, Thailand with 2 and Jordan at the bottom with 1.

We must also remember that Iran were playing with a weakened team as our Euro based players were not present. Great experience for the IPL based youngsters. Good move by Daei by resting our Euro based players and not exposing them to potential injury.

12 minutes, Iran have a penalty for a foul on Madanchi which really wasn't a foul at all. Iran are lucky to get this penalty.

Aghili scores.

Singapore 0-1 Iran

I hope Iran do not sit back and defend now

14 minute. This is kind of unbelievable. An attack and a good goal by Madanchi.

Singapore 0-2 Iran

Game has settled down. 2 quick goals for Iran and we are satisfied it seems.

minute 35 and Singapore get a goal back. Heh heh where is the Iran defence? But like all Iranians, everyone wants to attack and not defend and when we have no defence they cry.

They did not like Branko because he tried to take care of defence. Who cares for this stupid Mulla run country anyway?

Singapore 1-2 Iran

I can't be bothered anymore I have better things to do than watch Iran concede to Singapore. We should only play Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Bhutan

After surviving some very tricky moments including a shot against the bar, Iran managed to score a very beautiful goal on the counter. Rahman Rezaei made it 1-3 to Iran.

Game over and Iran have qualified with a game to spare.

Thanks for your report Branko jaan. Smiley

I watched the game live and overall, it was not bad because Iran won.  Iranians must practice set arrangements.  Nice to see so many forwards who are young.  Why to bring Kaabi for few last minutes?

Actually it was Gholamreza Rezaei who scored the 3rd. goal, not Rahman!  Wink

Despite most Iranians criticizing TM's performance, I thought we weren't that bad at all. The problem is that we still underestimate the likes of Singapore, Thailand, Bahrain, Jordan...

W need to keep in mind that the weaker teams are slowly closing the gap and catching up, therefore we better wake up before it's too late!
