Dashali jaan, I'm back now. Malaga is a beautiful city (old quarter) on the South Coast (Costa del Sol). I went to Alicante and then by coach to La Nucia. Its not directly on the coast but on the mountains that slope down to Costa Blanca, not too far from Benidorm.

Spain is a beautiful country but it is not an easy country to live in. People from Northern Europe who go there very soon tire of it as it does not have the infrastructure and conveniences or aminities that we are used to. There is also a lot of corruption and 3rd world mentality. Its a great holiday destination but difficult to live in. Most people I know have left after a few years but if given the chance I would move there as I am used to these conditions being Iranian and having lived and worked in the middle east  Wink

BWTB jan...I know exactly what you say...and I am with you. My sister live there now, after her husband retired in Germany, they moved there. It's good, as long as you do not have to deal with government and anything elase....like you said, very corrupt.
I just loved the fact that in this area, Spanish language has no meaning Wink you can talk in English, German and you are set. I have heard that more Germans and british and swedish are moving there.... maybe one day, I'll go there as well.....and on top of that, few Iranians...

A couple of years ago I went there with a friend for a business visit. We took an early flight from Luton an dgot there about 8.30 in the morning. We finished our work and went back to the airport in the evening to take return back to England. At the immigration control this fellow kept both my friend and myself waitng for almost 20 minutes while he kept looking at us and checking our passports. Eventually jokingly in Persian I told my friend that he should have behaved himself and not acted the idiot and shoplifted and that is why we are being kept back.

The immigration fellow started laughing and spoke in Persian with us. He was Iranian and just was waiting for an opportunity to talk Persian but was a little shy  Smiley

Anyway we had a good laugh and he was really really nice. Its just good that we did not use foul language either at each other or at him while we were waiting or it would have been very embarrasing  Grin
